LIVE TUMOR BANKING

Live tumor banking is the collection, growth and storage of your patient’s living tumor tissue.

Tumors are typically stored in wax or as flash frozen samples; processes that kill the tumor cells and limit future testing options. Live tumor banking cryopreserves and stores the living tumor tissue AND utilizes a new process called “tumor grafting” to grow living tumor for specialized testing and large scale banking. This “Personalized Tumorgraft” process enables drug evaluation testing that may provide valuable data to help guide your treatment decisions.

PERSONALIZED TUMORGRAFT

Personalized Tumorgrafts represent a novel approach to personalized cancer treatment and are showing promise in predicting a patient's clinical response to drug therapies. A Personalized Tumorgraft is a sample of the patient's living tumor that is grown and tested in our facilities. By utilizing the Personalized Tumorgraft implantation program, the cancer treatment selected for the patient by his/her physician may be more likely to be successful, sparing the patient from undergoing therapy that may not be optimal for that specific cancer. Importantly, Champions maintains the patient's living Tumorgraft for future testing studies as the patient's condition changes, new technologies emerge, or in case a family member is diagnosed with cancer.

PERSONALIZED VACCINE

A therapeutic personalized cancer vaccine may be developed from a patient’s tumor to help provide the most personalized cancer treatment available. The cancer cells from the Personalized Tumorgraft are genetically modified, then used to stimulate a patient's immune system to recognize and, if possible, attack the patient’s cancer cells. As part of combination therapy, a Personalized Vaccine may have the potential to be a curative cancer treatment option.

PERSONALIZED ONCOLOGY PANEL

Champions will convene a panel of renowned experts, selected based on the specific cancer type and condition, from each of the disciplines critical to the patient’s case. In a round table forum the expert panel debates the broad array of options and provides a consensus treatment recommendation to the referring specialist.
